I will now attempt to give you a list of the Ford Product dealers of Goderich. In the early days it appears that dealers would switch franchises on a whim. This makes it much more complicated to properly trace and list them. - Ken McGee
W.E. Kelly – agent - 1914-1916 – Mr. Kelly appears to be the first dealer in town.

Bill Tebutt & Geo. MacEwan – Ford Dealer – 1922-1928 – Corner of Kingston & Victoria streets.
F. H. Wood – Ford Dealer – 1929-???? – St. Andrews Street
Goderich Motors (Stan Prevett) 1937-1971 – Started with Ford, Mercury added in 1939 which got changed to Monarch in 1946. Edsel added 1958-1960 – then the line was discontinued. Located in the Livery at 35 South Street.
Aberharts Garage – 1946-1959. Mercury-Lincoln, Meteor added in 1949 Located at 39 St. Andrews St.
Cooper Motor Sales – Meteor-Mercury 1962-1963 (lasted 1 year only) located “at the lights”
Huron Automotive & Supply (Rex & Irene Duckworth) Meteor – Mercury 1965-1975 – Huron Road.
Goderich Motors Ltd. (Clayton Amberry) Ford Cars & Trucks. 1971 Only. Located at 35 South Street.
Goderich Motors Ltd. (Ken Hutchins) Ford Cars & Trucks 1972-1973 – 35 South Street.
Green & parent – Ford – mercury 1975-1982, 263 Huron Road.
Strickland Motors Ltd. Ford – Mercury 1983-1985 Huron Road.
Highway Ford (Hoy & Dick) 1986 – 1 year only – West Street.
Suncoast Ford (Dennis Demerling) 1987-2004 Huron Road.
Suncoast Ford (Paul Kechnie) 2004-2007 – Huron Road
As of this date – January 2022 – We have not had a Ford Dealer in Goderich in the last 15 years.
